Jesus Lover of my soul

Jesus loves us.  How many times have you heard that statement in your life?  I am sure many many times and if you have never heard that then I am here to tell you Jesus loves you.  The amount He loves you is unquantifiable unfathomable sometimes unbelievable because of what we have done to either quash or to quench the Holy Spirit.

I love to read Isaiah the 43rd Chapter and the 4th verse because of the truth and power in this scripture.  Let’s take a look at it. Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours
because you are precious to me.
You are honored, and I love you.  What words of love they are and we have an opportunity to act on these words because the Lord it telling us so clearly that

  1. We are Precious
  2. We are Honoured
  3. He loves us.

I have little time to unpack the verses before this one so we will just consider these awesome words in verse 4.  Firstly we are precious.  How precious could we possibly be? Well if it were my wife saying these words I guess I would be fairly precious as she loves me, but beloved, my wife loves me with a human love, a love in Greek described as ρως érōs[  or Eros meaning a physical love. A love

between a man and wife. She loves me in this way, which is perfectly natural. She would regard me a something quite precious whereas God loves me in such a different way.  I was watching a program on TV the other day and the interviewer asked this diamond expert what the most precious diamond in the world was.  He replied “the Koor-I-Nor diamond, it is priceless in otherwords no price has been set. It belongs to the Queen of England and it makes up one of the jewels in her crown”.  There is no price.  God set a price on how precious you are beloved when He sent His son to be nailed to a cross at Calvary so you could be reconciled with God the Father.  How much more precious do you think you could be?

Secondly, we are Honored.  Wow!  Do you notice something here?  Our heavenly Father doesn’t just mention we are precious.  He goes on to say more to prove to us His feelings for us.  Being honored is something I believe we all crave from time to time.  When we win a prize at school for some brilliant achievement or receiving a medal for outstanding combat or anything really, just as long as we are noticed in some way.  Well believe me when I tell you that this verse confirms that we have been more than just noticed, we have been honored. I can’t reiterate this enough to you.  Our Queen is honored wherever she goes, what ever she does. Why?  Because she is the Queen of England and the Commonwealth.  She has red carpets where ever she goes.  Gosh! What must that be like?  I cannot imagine.  Jesus said “In my house there are many mansions, I go to prepare a place for you”. John 14:2 (paraphrased) Can you begin to pick up this picture of the honor that our Father has for you, for us?  He honors us because we are precious to Him.

Finally we come to those iconic words He utters to us now in our ear if we are listening, “And I Love you”.  Ohh my Lord Thank You for loving me this way. I don’t deserve Your love and still you give it.  The truth is beloved, He never stops giving this love to us.  Do we hear Him when He says this?  Some do and sadly some don’t.  Some people have no conception of just how much The Lord loves us. I didn’t, until one evening when I was about to broadcast on a Christian  TV station, someone slapped their hand on my back and began to bring a prophetic word to me that changed my whole life.  From that moment on and for the 7 days that followed, The Lord began to pour his love into my life.  Totally undeserved and not even asked for.  I know that God did this for a reason because I was not listening to Him and He had a job for me to do.

BELOVED WE MUST BEGIN TO HEAR HIS VOICE.  How can we do that? Often times I am asked how do we hear His voice.  Well just be reading this article you are hearing His voice if you listen because we are studying scripture together. The word of God and right at the beginning of this chapter in Isaiah, we see these words: But now, O Jacob, listen to the Lord who created you.
O Israel, the one who formed you says…..In other words God is talking. Almighty God is talking do you get that?  He says finally “And I love you”. God the Father has just told you He loves you and his love is different from ours. His love is ἀγάπη agápē[ or Agape, which means His love is unconditional. This means that His love holds no conditions attached to it. In other words We don’t have to love him back. We can reject Him and He would still loves us. Oh beloved, if you do nothing else in love accept His love as He pours it down upon you.  Just know this, His love is real and will NEVER ever end and all we have to do is accept it.  Will you pray with me right now?  Just repeat these words in your heart and out loud if you would.

“Father.  Thank You for Your all consuming love.  Thank You for saving me and making me whole.  Lord let Your awesome Love pour into my heart right now, right at this very moment. Fill me full of Your peace,
